About Me

Laura Post: I love to create, design and sew. I was inspired and taught by someone dear to my heart, my Mother, Lynne. She was a beautiful, loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. She saw goodness in everyone she met and had endless love to give. Her smile could light up a room and she blessed the lives of so many. In March of 2008 she was diagnosed with stage IV Melanoma. She lived 8 weeks before making her journey to heaven. It has been three long years since I saw her smile or heard her voice telling me I am special. It has also taken me this long to find the courage to do what I have always wanted to do in her honor, start the National Melanoma Awareness Coalition. My hope is that with this Coalition we will save lives by educating the community about the prevention and detection of melanoma and other skin cancers. With early detection and treatment, the chances of recovery are very good. Prevention and detection are the keys to survival. Join the Coalition today and together we can spread the word to our friends and loved ones. You CAN make a difference. Knowledge saves lives!
